Intel introduced small Laminar RM2 and RH2 coolers – buyers of Core Ultra 200 chips will receive them

Intel has introduced two new compact processor coolers that will be shipped with boxed versions of Core Ultra 200 desktop processors without the “K” suffix. The cooling systems are called Laminar RM2 and Laminar RH2.

The Laminar RH2 model will only be supplied with a boxed version of the older Core Ultra 9 285 processor. The cooler is equipped with ARGB lighting and provides “virtually silent” operation, according to Intel’s statement. While most basic coolers aren’t exactly quiet, this version may actually offer improved levels of cooling and efficiency. The radiator of the new product is made of aluminum, and its contact pad is made of copper.

Laminar RH2

The new product is designed for processors with a TDP of 65 W and supports fan speed control via the motherboard BIOS. The height of the cooler is 71 mm, weight is 450 grams. It is equipped with a fan with operating speeds of up to 3000 rpm. The company claims that the noise level at 1600 rpm and a processor temperature of 40 degrees Celsius is 23 dBA.

Laminar RM2

The Laminar RM2 model will come with a boxed version of the Core Ultra 5 225, Core Ultra 5 225F, Core Ultra 5 235, Core Ultra 5 265 and Core Ultra 5 265F processors. The height of the cooler is 47 mm and the weight is 340 grams. It includes a fan with operating speeds of up to 3250 rpm. The noise level is 30 dBA at a rotation speed of 1600 rpm and a processor temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. More detailed characteristics of the new products can be found in the table below.

Intel also presented a table comparing the characteristics of the new Laminar RM2 and Laminar RH2 for the LGA 1851 processor socket with the Laminar RM1 and Laminar RH1 models designed for the LGA 1700 processor socket and chips up to Raptor Lake-S Refresh models.

Core Ultra 200S (Arrow Lake-S) processors with a nominal TDP of 65 W will go on sale next week, January 13.
