Intel entrusted the production of Arc B580 video cards to a company that appeared just four months ago

The Intel Arc B580 video card presented yesterday has headed for store shelves, and the processor giant in this matter traditionally relies not only on itself, but also on its partners directly involved in the production and distribution of graphics accelerators. Newcomers also appeared among them. In particular, the Onix company, which is credited with a relationship with Sapphire.

In the new generation of video cards, Intel has expanded the list of partners entrusted with the production and sale of Arc B580 video cards. In addition to ASRock, Acer, GUNNIR and Sparkle, the list now includes Chinese MaxSun and ONNIX. The latter is little known even in China. Representatives of the VideoCardz resource managed to find out through Chinese publications that the Onix Technology company was established in Hong Kong only in August of this year. Notably, Intel’s press materials refer to the brand with the last consonant doubled (ONIXX).

Chinese sources have suggested that ONIXX may be related to Sapphire, AMD’s long-time exclusive partner for the production of video cards. In this case, such a quick entry of a new player into the graphics card market can be explained by the presence of support from an experienced manufacturer. The newcomer is so far ready to offer only two models of Arc B580 series video cards. The white Lumi is equipped with controllable RGB backlighting, while the black Odyssey is limited to a more ascetic design without backlighting. Both have a similar cooling system design with two fans.

Let’s add that among Intel’s partners in the production of video cards, giants of this market like Asus, Gigabyte and MSI no longer appear – previously, the latter two produced Arc A-series video cards. Perhaps the situation will change over time or with the release of other new generation Intel video cards.
