Intel: Arrow Lake processors will be released this year, despite the cancellation of the Innovation presentation

Intel today confirmed that its Arrow Lake processor launch plans remain “unchanged” and will begin shipping “later this year.” The Intel Innovation event, scheduled for September 24, 2024, will be moved to 2025 to save money due to the company’s losses in the second quarter of 2024.

After information appeared about the postponement of the Intel Innovation 2024 event, many enthusiasts and analysts speculated about a possible delay in the release of Arrow Lake processors. This assumption was based on Intel’s plans to introduce a new chip at the Innovation 2024 event. Today, an Intel representative said that these rumors are not true.

«Intel’s launch plans, timing, or product readiness have not changed. We’re excited about the new product announcements and momentum we have, including major announcements this fall. We will share more details about our next-generation desktop processors, codenamed Arrow Lake, later this year,” Intel said.

Intel has promised to make “major announcements” this fall. Lunar Lake processors are expected to be launched at IFA 2024 in Germany early next month. There are rumors about the possible announcement of desktop GPUs of the Battlemage generation.

In the Arrow Lake family, solutions for the desktop segment are also especially intriguing, since they will bring a completely new architecture, will be less power-hungry than current chips, and promise to provide a significant increase in performance.
