Independent reviews of the GeForce RTX 5090 will be released on January 24, and the RTX 5080 will be released on January 30

The VideoCardz portal received information from Nvidia partners about when to expect the first independent reviews of the new GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 video cards. The wait won’t be long, which is not surprising, because both new products will go on sale on January 30.

The first reviews of the flagship GeForce RTX 5090 are expected on January 24. And on January 30, the day sales begin, reviews of the GeForce RTX 5080 will appear. This time, Nvidia decided not to separate reviews of branded versions of the Founders Edition and non-standard versions from its partners. Reviews of both reference and custom versions of new video cards will be published on the appointed dates.

It was initially assumed that the GeForce RTX 5080 model would go on sale on January 21. However, there was a delay on Nvidia’s part and the final BIOS version for the RTX 5080 model was not released until the last week of December, forcing board manufacturing partners to work overtime to prepare for the upcoming launch.

Also noteworthy is the fact that on January 24, reviews will be released not only of the global version of the RTX 5090, but also of the GeForce RTX 5090D model, designed specifically for the Chinese market. It differs from the usual one by reduced AI performance.
