The other day, in the center of Shenzhen, near the office of the company-developer Engineai, the human-like robot SE01 was walking. His gait was light and swift, which, for example, contrasts sharply with the twitching movements of the Tesla Optimus robot during walking. The SE01 robot has become a pearl of the Engineai model range, showing a possible future for the use of humanoid robots in production and everyday life.

Engineai was formed in October 2023. Despite youth, the company has a strong base. Its founders were veterans in the field of robotics, as well as immigrants from scientific circles and specialized companies. The Robot SE01 speaks for itself. More precisely, how he can move, quite accurately imitating a person’s movement. This is not only walking, but also squats, push -ups, stairs and others.

It is claimed that the first shown video with the gait SE01 was perceived as a computer animation. Nevertheless, the robot is designed just like that. Its computing unit is the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano platform. Food is carried out from a quick -set lithium battery.

Probably, the choice of the Nvidia platform for controlling the robot’s systems attracted the attention of representatives of the company of the same name. At least the SE01 demo was commented on by Nvidia AI specialist Jim Fan, who was quoted on Network X as saying, “Stylish walking gait is cool, but we need these robots to put out fires [asap].”

It should be noted that the SE01 platform will be represented as a training. It has many replaceable modules and sensors to solve a whole range of problems. The company Engineai intends to bring the release of this model to 1000 units per year in the next year. The cost of the robot is expected in the range from $ 20,500 (150,000 yuan) to $ 27,350 (200,000 yuan). The company estimates the production costs for each robot at $ 13,670 (100,000 yuan). The price promises to be competitive and will not ruin the manufacturer.
