Human -like Unitree robots have learned to dance Chinese folk dances with people

Last week, the Chinese robotics company Unitree demonstrated how 16 of its humanoid robots H1 dashingly have a dancing with bloom dancers in the Gala More in honor of the Chinese New Year. The robots not only moved in a single rhythm with people, but also perfectly performed the most difficult acrobatic tricks. Video with dancing robots Unitree H1 includes shots taken at rehearsals and on stage. According to the company, this was “the first large -scale, fully controlled AI and fully automated cluster humanoid representation of robots.” The dance was broadcast on Chinese television as part of the annual New Year’s television program, which was recognized as the Guinness Book of the most popular in the world – in 2012 it was watched by almost half a billion people, and today this number has doubled.

The representative of Unitree said that the dance program was a pre -prepared representation using these real dancers. The control of the whole body with the help of AI allowed H1 to dance synchronously with each other, and the environmental scanning with the help of lidars provided feedback to make adjustments to unplanned events around them.

The growth of the H1 robot is 175 cm. This model is equipped with lidars and a depth chamber scanning the space of 360 degrees. H1 knows how to make a somersault back, its high maneuverability is explained by an extensive set of motion seizure data. Unitree published an accompanying video that demonstrates a number of very complex movements. H1 was estimated at $ 90,000.

The performance of the H1 robots is a big step forward compared to the dance show of Boston Dynamics robots in 2020. Unitree robots demonstrated more natural movements, the ability to divide the stage space with tanks-cereals in motion and the ability to perform complex synchronous acrobatic tricks, such as tossing and catching in the air of a scarf.

For the past few years, Unitree has purposefully worked on improving the movements of its four -legged and two -legged robots. Robots-dogs produced by the company are able to follow the owner, deftly overcoming obstacles. The robot G1 130 cm tall demonstrated confident running rocky terrain, an impeccable descent on the stairs and moving the border along the slope. G1 is already available in China at a price of $ 16,000.

For the company, a lot is put on the card. According to the Chinese Institute of CCID, only in China there are about 80,000 robotics companies, which involves fierce competition in the very near future. It is expected that by 2026 the sales of humanoid robots in China will amount to $ 2.7 billion, and the world demand for them will reach $ 38 billion by 2035.
