The Mate 60 family of smartphones made a lot of noise at the time, marking the return of the Chinese company Huawei Technologies, which was subject to US sanctions back in 2019, to the flagship smartphone market. The Pura 70 smartphones released after were also equipped with 7nm HiSilicon processors of our own design, and therefore the public is eagerly awaiting the release of the Mate 70 series, which is scheduled for the end of November.

The exact date of the announcement of the Mate 70 smartphone family was announced by Huawei’s head of consumer products, Richard Yu, under unusual circumstances. He took part in the Guangzhou Automobile Exhibition, where Huawei and related automakers demonstrated new products in the electric and hybrid market. While official Huawei accounts on Chinese social networks remain silent on this topic, Richard Yu admitted that the announcement of the Mate 70 smartphone family is scheduled for November 26.

According to unofficial data, the family will include at least four smartphone models, including Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS Ultimate. All of them will have to run Huawei’s own HarmonyOS Next operating system.

The most important intrigue is the type of processor used in these smartphones. According to rumors, the 6-nm HiSilicon Kirin 9100 chip is produced by SMIC, and its characteristics will be comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or MediaTek Dimensity 9000. By the way, at the same time as the new smartphones, Huawei is going to introduce products from the new automobile brand Maextro.
