HPE introduces ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 server based on Intel Xeon Granite Rapids-D

At MWC 2025, HPE announced the ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 server for telecom operators. The new product is designed to solve various tasks at the edge, such as virtualized radio access networks (vRAN), AI applications, etc.

The server is based on the Intel Xeon 6 SoC (Granite Rapids-D) hardware platform, optimized specifically for network and peripheral devices. The TDP indicator varies from 110 to 235 W, the turbo frequency when using all cores reaches 2.9 GHz. The ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 model is implemented in a 1U form factor. The full characteristics of the system have not yet been disclosed. The GNSS time synchronization function directly on the motherboard and HPE iLO 7 management tools are mentioned.

At MWC 2025, HPE is showcasing a number of other servers with AMD and Intel processors, as well as NVIDIA accelerators. In particular, the manufacturer’s stand features a ProLiant Compute DL384 Gen12 machine based on NVIDIA GH200 NVL2. In addition, the ProLiant Compute XD680 system in a 5U form factor is shown: this is a dual-processor GPU server based on Intel Xeon Emerald Rapids. It is equipped with eight HHHL PCIe 5.0 slots, four FHHL PCIe 5.0 connectors, and two OCP 3.0 slots. It is possible to install eight SFF U.3 (NVMe) drives.

The fresh 2U platform ProLiant Compute DL340 Gen12 was also shown. It is designed for one Xeon 6700 processor (Sierra Forrest-SP or Granite Rapids-SP), installation of up to 4 TB of RAM in the form of 16 DDR5-6400 modules. The storage subsystem can have several configurations: 20×EDSFF, 8×SFF or 12×LFF. Installation of six single-width expansion cards or four double-width expansion cards is supported.

Another HPE exhibit is the ProLiant DL345 Gen11 2U server, which is equipped with a single AMD EPYC Turin processor. It supports up to 3 TB of DDR5-6400 RAM. Depending on the configuration, it can install up to 20 LFF drives, up to 34 SFF devices, or up to 36 EDSFF drives. Up to six PCIe 5.0 x16 slots are available.
