HP has announced the OmniBook X, which will be available in various configurations with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. This makes the new product part of the Copilot+ PC ecosystem. According to the manufacturer, the laptop is capable of providing optimal performance and energy efficiency, and its thin and durable body makes the device an indispensable assistant for trips and travels.

The new HP laptop has a 17.3-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The panel has a peak brightness of 400 cd/m² and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. The display is framed by thin bezels, which makes the screen-to-cover ratio of the laptop lid 86%. A 5-megapixel camera is located above the screen.

The OmniBook X will be available with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V (eight cores, eight threads, up to 4.8 GHz) or Core Ultra 7 256V (eight cores, eight threads, up to 4.8 GHz) processor. Both chips feature a powerful AI coprocessor (NPU) with performance of up to 47 TOPS (trillion operations per second).

In the maximum configuration, the laptop is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics accelerator with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Versions with Intel Arc graphics will also be available. The configuration will be supplemented by 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and an M.2 solid-state drive with a capacity of up to 2 TB. The power source is an 83 Wh battery, providing autonomous operation for more than 25 hours (when watching videos). The laptop is equipped with a power adapter with a USB Type-C interface with a power of 65 or 100 W.

The audio subsystem includes a pair of speakers, and wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 or Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 adapters, depending on the configuration. Available interfaces include a USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4) connector with a data transfer rate of up to 40 Gbps and support for USB Power Delivery technology, one USB Type-C with a data transfer rate of up to 10 Gbps, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, three USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones.

The OmniBook X is made in a durable case that protects internal components according to the MIL-STD 810H standard. The laptop has dimensions of 39.59 x 25.4 x 1.52 cm and weighs 2.45 kg. The equipment includes a full-size keyboard with an additional numeric block and a Copilot+ key for quick access to Microsoft’s AI assistant. The case and keyboard are partially made of recycled metal and plastic. Information about the cost of the laptop and the start of sales has not yet been disclosed.
