HP has expanded its Omen gaming laptop range with a new model, the Omen 16 Slim. The manufacturer notes that the new product is 16% thinner than the standard Omen 16 model — its thickness is only 19.99 mm. The laptop is based on Intel Arrow Lake-H series processors.

The manufacturer offers configurations of up to a 16-core and 16-thread Core Ultra 9 285H with a clock speed of up to 5.4 GHz and an integrated NPU with a capacity of 13 TOPS, as well as up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM in the Omen 16 Slim. You can choose from 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives. As a graphics subsystem, the laptop can be equipped with a discrete GeForce RTX 5070 video card with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory.
The Omen 16 Slim comes with three display options, all with a 16:10 aspect ratio and IPS panels.
- The first option offers a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a response time of 3 ms, a dynamic refresh rate of 60 to 240 Hz, a brightness of 500 cd/m² and 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color space.
- The second option supports a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a response time of 3 ms, a dynamic refresh rate of 60 to 165 Hz, a brightness of 400 cd/m² and 100 percent sRGB coverage.
- The third option offers a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a dynamic refresh rate of 60 to 144 Hz, a brightness of 300 cd/m² and 62.5 percent coverage of the sRGB color space.
All screens support Flicker-Free technology. The first and second versions also feature Low Blue Light technology, which reduces eye strain.
The HP Omen 16 Slim laptop features a full-size keyboard with four-zone RGB backlighting. The set of external connectors of the new product includes one USB Type-C (10 Gbps, charging function and DisplayPort 1.4), one USB Type-A (10 Gbps), two USB Type-A (5 Gbps), 1-Gbps LAN and HDMI 2.1. The device also offers support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. The battery capacity of the laptop is 70 Wh.
