HP has updated the Omen 16 and Victus 15 gaming laptops with fresh AMD and Intel chips

HP introduced updated Omen 16 (2025) and Victus 15 (2025) gaming laptops with the latest AMD and Intel processors at CES 2025.

The HP Omen 16 (2025) gaming laptop is available with a wide range of AMD processors, including the 10-core Ryzen AI 9 365, 8-core Ryzen AI 7 350, and 16-core Ryzen 9 8945HX with 32 threads and speeds up to 5.7 GHz. Configurations with a range of Intel processors will also be available, including a 16-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285H with support for 16 threads and a frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with 16 cores and a frequency of up to 5.1 GHz.

Nvidia video cards are offered as the basis for the graphics subsystem, including the GeForce RTX 4050 with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and unnamed GeForce RTX 50 series models. Also offered is dual-channel RAM DDR5-5600 or DDR5-5200 with a capacity of 16 or 32 GB and a PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD of 512 GB or 1 TB.

HP Omen 16 (2025) is equipped with a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of up to WQXGA (2560 × 1600 pixels), a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a brightness of up to 500 cd/m2. The display provides 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. The laptop’s specifications also include an HP True Vision 1080p webcam, dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra support, a USB Type-C port, 3 USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ-45 jack, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A battery with a capacity of 70 or 83 Wh is used as a power source. The laptop weighs 2457.8 g.

The Victus 15 (2025) is a budget gaming laptop. The device will be offered in versions with eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 8845H, AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and six-core AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS processors, as well as a range of Intel chips, including eight-core Intel Core 5 210H, 10-core Intel Core i7- 13620H and eight-core Intel Core i5-13420H.

For graphics processing, video cards from Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 with 8 GB GDDR6 video memory, as well as AMD Radeon RX 6550M with 4 GB GDDR6 are offered. The amount of RAM DDR4-3200 or DDR5-5600 is 16 or 32 GB, the capacity of SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 is 512 GB or 1 TB.

Victus 15 (2025) is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with FHD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, providing 62.5 percent coverage of the sRGB color space. Brightness is 300 cd/m2. Device specifications also include an HP Wide Vision 720p webcam, 2 speakers with DTS:X® Ultra support, a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ-45 connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack. . Battery capacity is 52.5 or 70 Wh. The laptop weighs 2296 g.

The updated HP Omen 16 (2025) gaming laptop will go on sale in March starting at $1,599.99. In turn, some versions of Victus 15 (2025) will go on sale in January, while more advanced configurations will become available in May. The starting price for these laptops is $1,199.99.
