“Hollywood in your pocket”: Apple boasts 4K@120 slow motion on iPhone 16 Pro

Apple has published a promotional video dedicated to the slow-motion video mode on the iPhone 16 Pro. The smartphone boasts a “cinematic” slow-motion mode in 4K resolution at 120 frames per second and Dolby Vision support.

The goal of the commercial is to convey to the viewer the idea that the new iPhones are capable of shooting very beautiful slow-motion videos, and with the right approach they can produce “cinematic” shots. On the other hand, you need to remember that behind such videos there are always teams of professionals with powerful filming and lighting equipment, although the filming itself was actually carried out on an iPhone 16 Pro.

Therefore, the slogan that ends the ad, “Hollywood is in your pocket,” is partly overkill. But this does not mean that the footage presented in the video is not good enough – Apple is only latently trying to hint that buying an iPhone 16 Pro will turn its owner into a Hollywood film director.

Earlier it became known that Apple Intelligence features will debut on new iPhones in October, when the release of iOS 18.1 is expected.
