Hasbro Reveals Release Date for Exodus, the Mass Effect-Inspired Grand Sci-Fi RPG from Veteran Studio BioWare

The developers of the BioWare veteran-founded studio Archetype Entertainment are in no hurry to reveal the release date of their non-linear sci-fi action RPG Exodus. The top management did it for them.

In its financial report for the fourth quarter of calendar year 2024, the American holding company Hasbro (the parent company of Archetype Entertainment) for the first time specified when Exodus is planned for release.

Exodus will be released in 2026, Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks said. The executive noted that Archetype head James Ohlen has proven his ability to succeed while at BioWare.

Hasbro CFO and COO Gina Goetter added that Exodus has the potential to drive growth for the company and will receive additional investment.

In the story of Exodus, people have left the dying Earth and are fighting for survival in the Centauri Cluster. The protagonist June Aslan is a Traveler in whom the DNA of a human and a Celestial (the main enemy of humanity) is mixed.

The Travelers are engaged in stealing technology from the Celestials. For the agents, these missions last a few days, and for the people at home – decades. The effect of time dilation will allow us to assess the long-term consequences of the decisions made.

Exodus is being developed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In terms of hardware, the game will be similar to Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from BioWare. In December, the developers presented the first gameplay trailer for the project.
