Gunnir showed low-profile video cards Arc B580 and Arc A770 for compact computers and servers

Gunnir held a special event in China to celebrate the launch of Intel Arc Battlemage series graphics cards. The manufacturer is Intel’s largest partner in the Asian market in the sale of discrete video cards. One of the new products was the Arc B580, equipped with a low-profile cooling system. The company also showed off the low-profile, previous-generation Arc A770 Alchemist.

The low-profile Arc B580 HLP from Gunnir features a compact cooling system with three fans. The company did not share the characteristics of the new product. Note that the Arc B580 received a BMG-G21 graphics processor with 20 Xe2 cores and 12 GB of memory with support for a 192-bit bus and a bandwidth of 456 GB/s. Gunnir has confirmed that while the Arc B580 HLP will be commercially available, it will not be offered as a standalone product. Probably, the new product will be distributed as part of ready-made compact home and office PCs.

The manufacturer also showed several other Arc B580 designs in proprietary Photon (black and white) and TRI designs with cooling systems with two and three fans. All of them will go on sale from December 13th.

As for the low-profile Arc A770 HLP of the previous generation Arc Alchemist (pictured below), its cooling system includes only one centrifugal fan. The cooling system casing is made entirely of metal and further facilitates heat dissipation.

The dimensions of the new product are 202 × 80 × 39 mm, and the thickness of the card occupies two expansion slots. The power consumption of the video card has been reduced from 225 W declared by Intel for this accelerator model to 165 W. Apparently, the operating frequency of the GPU is also reduced compared to the reference version. This will certainly have a negative impact on performance. However, this video card model from Gunnir is not intended for gaming. Its main purpose is HTPC and compact home servers.

The card is equipped with two DisplayPort 2.0 ports and one HDMI 2.0. For additional power, only one 8-pin connector is provided. Let us remember that the reference version of Arc A770 has one 6-pin and one 8-pin connector.

The Arc A770 uses an ACM-G10 GPU with 32 first-generation Xe cores (Alchemist). It is noteworthy that Gunnir decided to choose a version with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory as the basis for its Arc A770 HLP. Let us remember that Intel also released a model with 8 GB of memory.
