The artificial intelligence chatbot Grok, created by Elon Musk’s startup xAI, has received a new feature that will allow it to participate in the creation of documents and applications along with the user. The feature, called Grok Studio, is available to users of the free and paid versions of Grok on a separate website for the project.

«Grok can now generate documents, code, reports, and browser games. Grok Studio opens your materials in a separate window, allowing you and Grok to collaborate on them,” reads the announcement of the new feature published on the X social network. This is not the first AI chatbot to have a separate space for collaboration with the user: in the OpenAI ChatGPT version, this feature is called Canvas, and in Anthropic it is Artifacts for Claude.

Grok Studio does not seem to have any significant differences from its competitors. The service allows you to view HTML elements and run code in Python, C++, and JavaScript — all materials are displayed in a window to the right of Grok’s responses. Grok Studio’s capabilities promise to be further expanded by another new chatbot feature — integration with Google Drive. It allows you to send files to Grok directly from cloud storage. The chatbot works with text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
