Google Slides Gets AI Image Generator Imagen 3, More Tools for ‘Stunning Presentations’

Google has introduced several new features for Slides that “make it easier to create visually stunning presentations.” Users can now access templates, Imagen 3 image generator, new design components, and more visual tools in a new sidebar on the right side of the canvas.

The new sidebar gives you access to the following features:

• «Building Blocks is a new library of pre-formatted pieces of content, such as agendas, quotes, or key statistics, that help you create professional presentations faster. These blocks function similarly to building blocks in Google Docs, are made up of individual elements, and can be ungrouped and customized after inserting them into a slide.
• The Stock Images feature gives you quick and easy access to millions of stock images, web images, stickers, and GIFs.
• Modern, professionally designed templates make it much easier to start working on a new presentation.
• Create compelling visuals using AI based on text prompts.
• «Spotlight – Presenters can embed their video feed directly into the slide content.
• «Slide Recordings: Users can record themselves during a presentation and then share the footage with others.
• Proportional scaling allows you to select a group of objects or text on a slide and adjust the size while maintaining the image’s clarity and aspect ratio.
