Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 9a smartphone in March this year. Ahead of the event, a short video has appeared on the Threads social network showing off the device’s appearance, including the lack of a prominent main camera module on the back of the case.

The published video shows a smartphone in obsidian color, which can easily be mistaken for black. The main camera module of the smartphone is striking, barely protruding above the surface of the case. This probably means that the Pixel 9a will not be the thinnest smartphone and will not use flagship camera sensors, which require more space to accommodate.

The Pixel 9a is rumored to be unveiled to the public on March 19, with sales starting on March 26. The report says the retail price of the new product will start at $499 for the 128GB version, while the 256GB version will cost $599. Otherwise, the Pixel 9a will get 8GB of RAM, a 6.28-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2700 cd/m².

The smartphone’s hardware will be based on Google’s proprietary Tensor G4 microprocessor, and autonomous operation will be provided by a 5100 mAh battery. The main camera of the Pixel 9a will be built on a 48-megapixel sensor, and Android 15 will serve as the software platform.
