Google Improves Gmail Search with Artificial Intelligence

Google is aiming to make it more likely that Gmail users will always be able to find the right message in their inbox. To do this, it will use an algorithm based on artificial intelligence.

Google Search will no longer show results in chronological order based solely on the keywords a user enters. Instead, searches will take into account other criteria, including how recently emails were received, and how often certain emails and contacts were interacted with.

«With this update, the emails you want are much more likely to appear at the top of search results, saving you valuable time and making it easier to find important information,” Google said in a statement.

The new “most relevant” search results feature is becoming available to Google mail service users worldwide. It will work not only in the web version of the service, but also in the Gmail mobile apps for Android and iOS. It is noted that this innovation will not completely replace the service’s previous approach to letters. Users will have the option to display search results in chronological order.
