Google Pixel 9a was originally expected to go on sale this week. However, Google delayed the start of shipments, citing the need to verify a “component quality issue affecting a small number of Pixel 9a units.” Today, the company apparently announced the final launch dates for the Pixel 9a in different countries — it will happen gradually, from April 10 to 16.

Google’s published Pixel 9a launch schedule is as follows:
- April 10 in the USA, Canada and the UK.
- April 14 in Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Finland.
- April 16 in Australia, India, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia.
- «Coming soon to Japan.”
The Pixel 9a is powered by Google’s new Tensor G4 chip with a Titan M2 security coprocessor. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2424 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The display reaches a maximum brightness of 1800 cd/m² when displaying HDR content, and a peak brightness measured at 5% of the area is 2700 cd/m².
The main 48-megapixel camera with autofocus, ƒ/1.7 aperture, and optical image stabilization can record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. It is complemented by a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with an ƒ/2.2 aperture. The front 13-megapixel camera is limited to 4K video at 30 frames per second.
The design of the smartphone is similar to other representatives of the Pixel 9 series. The smartphone screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with flat edges that merge into a flat aluminum frame. The smartphone complies with the IP68 standard for protection against dust and water. The smartphone is available in four colors: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Peony (pink) and Iris (purple).
