Google Announces Chrome PC Update with Integrated AI Features Powered by Gemini

Google has announced a significant update to the desktop version of the Chrome browser by integrating Gemini artificial intelligence into search and Google Lens. Now interaction with information and image processing will become easier and at the same time more effective. Users will have access to a new search history experience and an improved Lens tool.

As reported by Techcrunch with reference to the Google blog, the updated search history feature offers a more convenient and intuitive way to view and manage previous search queries. “With AI, Chrome makes it easier to complete tasks quickly and find the information you need. Our goal is to make your browsing experience even more rewarding with the help of artificial intelligence,” said a Google spokesperson.

Additionally, Google Lens, now integrated into Chrome, offers new image recognition capabilities. Users will be able to simply right-click on an image or select text to get information about the content. Lens can be accessed from the address bar or from the three-dot menu on the right.

Google has also introduced a new feature called Tab Compare to help with shopping. In the coming weeks, Chrome will offer AI-powered summaries of similar products. For example, if a user is looking for a Bluetooth speaker, Tab Compare will show the product’s specs, features, price, and ratings in one place, even if all that information is on different pages.

The Chrome update reflects Google’s strategy to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into a variety of products. Gemini, which was introduced earlier this year, has already demonstrated its capabilities in other services such as Google Search and YouTube.
