Google announced the rollout of Vision Match, an AI-powered image processing feature in the Shopping section of search results designed to help users find items based on a verbal description. Virtual try-on capabilities for clothes and makeup have also been expanded.

Vision Match debuted as an experimental feature in Labs in 2023 and is now available to all US users in the mobile version of Search. It allows you to provide a verbal description of an item of clothing, which is then used by AI to generate an image and suggest the closest options, which you can then buy right away. To use the feature, type a description into the search bar, scroll to the “Can’t find it? Create it!” block, or go to the left panel of the “Shopping” tab and select “Create and buy.”
Google has also expanded its virtual fitting functions. Platform visitors can select, “try on,” and then purchase cosmetics from a number of brands. It is possible to enter a makeup style in the search bar and see how it will look on your face. Virtual fitting of wardrobe items has also become more functional — now you can see how the trousers or skirts of interest to the user will look in sizes from XXS to XXL.
