Gigabyte presented AI servers with NVIDIA H200 accelerators and AMD and Intel processors

Gigabyte announced the G593-SD1-AAX3 and G593-ZD1-AAX3 HGX servers designed for AI and HPC tasks. Devices made in a 5U form factor include up to eight NVIDIA H200 accelerators. This uses air cooling.

The G593-SD1-AAX3 model is designed for two Intel Xeon Emerald Rapids processors with a TDP of up to 350 W, and the G593-ZD1-AAX3 version has two sockets for AMD EPYC Genoa chips with a TDP of up to 300 W. There are 32 and 24 slots available for DDR5 RAM modules, respectively.

The servers are equipped with eight front bays for NVMe/SATA/SAS-4 SFF drives, two 10GbE network ports based on RJ-45 connectors (located on the front panel) and a dedicated 1GbE management port (located on the back). There are four FHHL PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and eight LP PCIe 5.0 x16 slots. The model on the AMD platform additionally has two M.2 connectors for SSDs with PCIe 3.0 x4 and x1 interface.

Both servers are powered by six 3000 W units with 80 Plus Titanium certification. The dimensions of the new products are 447×219.7×945 mm. Operating temperature range – from +10 to +35 °C. There are two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and a D-Sub connector. Mass production of Gigabyte G593 series servers is planned for the second half of 2024. These systems will be a temporary replacement for (G)B200 servers, the release of which is delayed.
