Gigabyte introduced a graphics card for workstations Radeon Pro W7800 AI TOP with 48 GB of GDDR6 memory

Gigabyte has announced the Radeon Pro W7800 AI TOP graphics card for workstations. A distinctive feature of the new model from the previously released Radeon Pro W7800 is the amount of available video memory. The new model received 48 GB of GDDR6, while the original Pro W7800, released by AMD last year, comes with 32 GB of memory.

The Gigabyte Radeon Pro W7800 AI TOP is based on the same Navi 31 graphics chip based on RDNA 3 architecture with 4480 stream processors. The memory bus width of the new model is 384 bits, i.e. like the Pro W7900, which also has 48 GB of GDDR6 on board. The Radeon Pro W7800 AI TOP memory bandwidth is 864 GB/s.

Gigabyte Radeon Pro W7800 AI TOP occupies two expansion slots. It is equipped with a cooling system which includes a centrifugal fan. The length of the video card is 29.3 cm.

Gigabyte notes that the Pro W7800 with 48 GB of memory has an increased power consumption figure of 281 watts. This is 21 W more than the version with 32 GB of memory and 14 W less than the older Pro W7900 model. For additional power, the new product uses two 8-pin connectors. Similar to previous accelerator models of the Pro W7000 series, the card received three DisplayPort 2.1 ports and one mini-DisplayPort 2.1.

AMD is expected to officially unveil the Radeon Pro W7800 with 48GB of memory in the near future.
