GeForce RTX 5070 Ti appeared in European stores at a price much higher than the recommended price

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti video card is expected to go on sale on February 20. The recommended retail price of the new product is $749 for the US and €879 for Germany. The new product in the MSI Gaming Trio OC Plus version has already appeared on the websites of some European retailers, and with a significantly higher price.

A major retailer in Austria, MediaMarkt, has listed the MSI RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC Plus at €1,169. This is 32% more than the recommended retail price. Of course, this is a non-reference version of the accelerator and not the most budget option, since the Gaming Trio series is located between Ventus/Shadow and Vanguard. However, the markup still significantly exceeds the usual 10-15% of the recommended price. In addition, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti will not be released in a reference version, so cards at the price recommended by Nvidia will probably not be available for sale at all.

According to social network user X, one of the French retailers has exactly the same MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC Plus model listed at €1,149, while the more advanced Vanguard SOC version has a price tag of €1,199.

It’s worth noting that the RTX 5070 Ti won’t go on sale until next week, so the prices set by retailers may be preliminary in case supplies of the card are as limited as those of the previously released senior RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 models.

According to the latest rumors, the RTX 5070 Ti may only see a 5-10% increase in raw performance over the RTX 4070 Ti Super.
