Nvidia announced the unavailability of the reference RTX 5070 cards on the day of their formal launch, 2.5 hours before the publication of the first independent reviews. Now the Founders Edition version is expected to go on sale only by the end of this month. According to HardwareLuxx editor Andreas Schilling, who was the first to report this news, the release of the FE version of the GeForce RTX 5070 is delayed in Germany and the United States. Schilling’s words are also confirmed by the TechPowerUp portal. Most likely, the RTX 5070 Founders Edition will not go on sale tomorrow and in other countries.
As the VideoCardz portal writes, Nvidia has previously postponed the launch of the RTX 5070. Initially, it was assumed that the card would go on sale in February. The company did not specify the reason for the delay.
Independent reviews of the GeForce RTX 5070 agree that the new product in pure performance is an analogue of the RTX 4070 Super, but with support for multi-frame generator technology.
