According to unofficial data, sales of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card will begin on May 19. This was reported by VideoCardz, citing the company’s partners who received new instructions. The manufacturers also asked reviewers whether they were interested in testing the RTX 5060. According to the new instructions, reviews of the card can be published on the day of the start of sales.

While VideoCardz doesn’t expect much demand from buyers for the RTX 5060, the release of reviews on the day of its launch suggests that consumers will be able to purchase the accelerator without first seeing independent data on its performance. In other words, users will have to trust Nvidia’s official benchmark results if they want to grab the card at the recommended price.
The RTX 5060 uses the GB206 GPU with 3840 CUDA cores. It is expected to be the youngest model in the RTX 50 series of graphics cards. Although there are rumors that Nvidia may release the RTX 5050 with GDDR6 memory instead of GDDR7, these reports have not yet been confirmed. In fact, the RTX 5060 is a minor upgrade over the RTX 4060, for example, in terms of video memory capacity, which the new model also has only 8 GB. However, not everything is decided by the memory capacity – the bandwidth of this memory is also important. With a 128-bit bus, it is 448 GB / s. The same RTX 4060 has a memory bandwidth of 288 GB / s.
Nvidia has priced the RTX 5060 at $299, the same price as the RTX 4060 when it launched. The new model has 25% more graphics cores and 65% more video memory bandwidth. The new product uses 8 PCIe 5.0 lanes.
It should be added that AMD is expected to introduce a competitor to the RTX 5060 Ti / RTX 5060 in the form of the Radeon RX 9060 XT (and possibly the RX 9060) around the same time. The announcement of entry-level accelerators from Nvidia and AMD is reportedly coming before Computex 2025.
