Galax GeForce RTX 5090 Boomstar Luna/Nox will be released in modifications both with additional factory overclocking and without it. For versions with GPU overclocking, the manufacturer declares a frequency of 2452 MHz in Boost mode – this is only 45 MHz higher than the reference value. Both cards have a declared TDP of 575 W and require a power supply unit with a capacity of at least 1000 W in the PC. The dimensions of the RTX 5090 Boomstar Luna/Nox video cards are 348 × 155 × 60 mm. They occupy three expansion slots.

The key feature of the new products is the innovative design of the cooling system with a magnetic casing design. Unlike other versions of the RTX 5090, the Boomstar variants allow you to completely remove the cooling system casing along with the fans without using a screwdriver – the upper part of the casing is attached to the card with magnets. There are no wires. This greatly simplifies the maintenance of video cards: they do not have to be completely disassembled, and partial disassembly will not affect the warranty.

Another feature of the new products is the magnetic back plate. The Boomstar series of cards is known for its customization support, and it usually offers a variety of different replacement parts. However, at the moment it is unclear whether the company plans to release replacement plates for the RTX 5090 Boomstar Luna/Nox. The manufacturer only included one back plate for each card in the package.

The cards are built on 14-layer printed circuit boards and are equipped with a power supply subsystem according to the 16+6+7 phase scheme. Both models received one 12V-2×6 connector for additional power supply.
