Asus, as part of the presentation of motherboards based on the Intel Z890 chipset for Arrow Lake-S processors, the official announcement will take place in a few hours, is sending out special kits to the media for testing new chips. Among other things, these kits include DDR5 CU-DIMM Trident Z5 CK memory sticks from G.Skill. G.Skill itself has not yet announced such RAM.

CU-DIMM memory is characterized by the presence of a built-in clock generator located directly on the module itself. This ensures more stable overclocking to higher frequencies. Some companies have already presented their CU-DIMM memory options operating at speeds in excess of 9000 MT/s and have confirmed that kits with speeds of 10,000 MT/s will be released in the future.
According to YouTuber Xtian C, Asus’ included 48GB (2x24GB) G.Skill CU-DIMM Trident Z memory kit runs at 8,200 MT/s. The remaining characteristics of the new product remain unknown.
Apparently, G.Skill itself is going to introduce this RAM kit very soon.
Let’s add that in addition to RAM modules, the Asus kit for reviewers includes the flagship ROG Maximus Z890 HERO motherboard and the ROG Ryujin III 360 aRGB Extreme liquid cooling system.
