G.Skill has introduced a dual-channel DDR5-8000 RAM kit with a large capacity of 128 GB (2 x 64 GB). The manufacturer calls it the first RAM kit on the market with such speed and capacity. Until recently, the maximum available capacity of one DDR5 consumer memory module was 48 GB.

The new memory kit has CL44-58-58-128 timings and has been successfully tested on an Asus ROG Crosshair X870E Apex motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor.
G.Skill also demonstrated a dual-channel 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-9000 memory kit running at CL48-64-64-144 timings on a different platform. The Asus ROG Maximus Z890 Apex motherboard was used for testing, paired with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor.
The presented RAM modules will be released within the manufacturer’s proprietary series Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 Royal NEO. The company did not report anything about the cost of the announced new products. It is also unknown when exactly they will go on sale.
