CSO-DIMM (Clocked Small Outline DIMM) is a relatively new form factor that involves the presence of a clock generator on compact SO-DIMM strips. This form factor is supported by a new generation of platforms based on Intel Core Ultra 200 processors. One of these platforms is the recently introduced ASRock DeskMini B860 – using its example, G.Skill decided to demonstrate the capabilities of a 48 GB (2 × 24 GB) DDR5 CSO-DIMM kit -8133 with timings CL46-52-52-130. The system was equipped with an ASRock B860M-STX motherboard and an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 desktop processor.
In addition to support for CSO-DIMM memory, ASRock DeskMini B860 systems offer an extensive array of USB ports; Intel Thunderbolt 4 interface allows you to connect up to four displays; You can install up to four drives in the case. The platform is suitable for creating work and multimedia systems.
