Elon Musk denied rumors about xAI’s intentions to claim part of Tesla’s revenue

Rumors that spread over the weekend about the intentions of the startup xAI to encroach on part of Tesla’s revenue in exchange for access to its artificial intelligence technologies by the beginning of the week received the attention of Elon Musk, who denied the existence of the very need for such conditions of cooperation between the two companies he heads .

«”Tesla has learned a lot from discussions with xAI engineers that helped achieve driver-less FSD, but there is no need to license anything from xAI,” Musk explained on his social media site X late Saturday. Originally posted on the pages of The Wall Street Journal he called it inaccurate in its content.

In July, Musk said that he was going to bring to the board of directors the possibility of investing $5 billion of Tesla funds in the capital of the startup xAI. The latter is the billionaire’s youngest company; during the boom of artificial intelligence technologies, he clearly needs investment, so Elon Musk is actively looking for new sources of financing for this company.
