Electronic Arts is ready to postpone the release of the “largest Battlefield in history” under the threat of a collision with GTA VI

The next Battlefield does not yet have a release date, however, there is a non -level probability that the release will have in the next fall, which is still announced by one of the most important games of recent years – GTA VI. Electronic Arts, however, has a plan.

As part of a recent conversation between the Electronic Arts leadership with investors, the issue of the deadline for the release of the new Battlefield (officially: from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026) in conditions of tough competition during 2025.

According to EA General Director, Andrew Wilson), the company has invested in the next Battlefield record for the standards of a series of means and aimed at realizing the potential of the game using the selected launch window.

At the same time: “I believe that from the point of view of competition this year has a chance to become a year of nuances. Over his length, some things are possible that can force us to rethink our exit time. ”

EA is sure that the game will be ready at the indicated deadlines, but: “If we get to the end of these time frames and understand that they will not play our hands, we will look at alternative options.”

In addition to the GTA VI, until the end of 2025, there are expected to exit such large projects as Mafia: The Old Country, Borderlands 4, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yotei, Fable of Duty (so far unconfirmed).

The new release is positioned by EA as “the largest Battlefield in history.” The game is made by four studios (Dice, Motive, Criterion, Ripple Effect). Development has reached Prealphs – a large -scale testing program is being prepared for the start.
