British company Verge Motorcycles set a world record for the longest electric motorcycle range on a single battery charge and got into the Guinness Book of Records with this achievement. The Verge TS Pro model traveled a record 311 km in London and its suburbs and still had 7% of its battery charge. Riding in the city was good for the electric motorcycle: its range on the highway is only 200 km. Frequent braking recharged the batteries, which allowed it to travel further.

The company emphasizes that the electric motorcycle was tested under real city driving conditions — with traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and traffic jams. Thanks to the energy recovery mechanism, braking recharged the vehicle’s batteries, increasing the range by an impressive 30% or more.

Two motorcyclists, Sam Clarke and Sara Sloman, took turns every hour. The entire run took 16 hours. The team did not discharge the batteries to zero, so as not to raise the bar and to show a realistic idea of the capabilities of this vehicle. Thus, buyers of the Verge TS Pro model can accurately assess its capabilities when traveling around the city. The company’s more expensive electric motorcycles, the TS Ultra and California Edition TS Pro, are even more capable of repeating this achievement.

The Verge TS Pro is perhaps one of the most noticeable models on the market. Its rear tubeless wheel is equipped with a 102 kW electric motor. The engine torque is 1000 Nm, which allows the electric motorcycle to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. The vehicle weighs 245 kg. The motorcycle is equipped with an AI computer, wireless and cellular modules, as well as top-notch Öhlins suspension and other nice features that ensure a comfortable ride.

The record-breaking Verge TS Pro is a relatively inexpensive electric vehicle, with prices starting at $29,900. The TS Ultra starts at $44,900. U.S. deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2025.
