According to the latest data, Intel’s processor share in the CPU-Z validation database is 56.3%. Intel chips still dominate the platform, but their share has dropped by 10% over the past year. At the same time, AMD’s share has grown by 16.6% and now stands at 43.7%.
Eight-core processors are the most common in the CPU-Z database, used by 24.7% of the users who passed the validation. The most popular model was the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This model is likely the driver of the growth in the popularity of eight-core chips.
Another interesting detail of the statistics is related to monitors. The most popular are still 27-inch models, their share has grown by 7% over the year. In second place are 24-inch displays, whose popularity has decreased by 7.9% over the same period. 32-inch models account for 12.7% of all validations, and 34-inch and larger models account for just over 10%.
The statistics also reflect changes in the popularity of GPU brands. Nvidia lost 6.4% of its market share in a year, now standing at 67.9%. In turn, AMD increased its share by 16.6%, bringing it to 31.1%. The share of Intel graphics cards is 0.7% of validations, which indicates growth of 27% in a year.
