The question of whether Doom can be run on a particular device has been troubling enthusiasts for years now — and now the circle has closed. American distributor Limited Run Games has announced a new collector’s edition of the cult game — it comes in a box that can also run Doom thanks to the built-in screen.

Pre-orders for the Doom plus Doom II Will It Run Edition Collector’s Edition, which includes versions for Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation 5, and PC, will open on April 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM ET (5:00 PM EST). It will be released in a limited edition of 666 copies at a price of $666.66. There will be no price adjustments due to duties, company representatives assured The Verge. A standard edition for $29.99 and a Big Box edition for $99.99 will also go on sale.

The Will It Run Edition includes a bunch of extra games, levels, gameplay enhancements, and add-ons that will justify the hefty price tag for die-hard Doom fans. It also includes expensive accessories and collectibles: four hours of soundtrack on four cassette tapes; a three-inch (7.62 cm) Cacodemon figurine floating on a magnetically levitating stand; a set of trading cards; and a handheld gaming device in the shape of a Cacodemon head, whose teeth act as a controller.

The Will It Run Edition game bundle includes Doom, Doom II, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, Master Levels for Doom II, No Rest for the Living, Sigil and Sigil II, a new Deathmatch pack with 25 maps, and last year’s Legacy of Rust episode. The games also feature various additions, including alternate soundtracks, improved graphics, gyroscopic aiming game controller support, and new accessibility features. Finally, eight new language localizations have been added, including Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Portuguese, and Polish.
