At the very beginning of this year, Doogee presented an unusual rugged smartphone Blade GT – it stands out among other indestructible smartphones with a backlight system on the back panel. Now the manufacturer has released an improved version of this device – Blade GT Ultra, which received more powerful hardware and an improved set of cameras.

The main feature of the Doogee Blade GT Ultra is the backlight, which performs both entertainment and aesthetic functions, as well as utilitarian ones. For example, when the charge is low (less than 20%), it quickly flashes, warning about the need to charge. During charging, the backlight displays the energy level. Incoming calls are accompanied by light effects until a decision is made – to answer, reject or mute. Notifications from applications can also be customized at your discretion.
The backlight settings are available via the Light Elf app or in the system menu. You can choose the blinking style, operating mode and brightness. The backlight synchronizes with the music, creating a spectacular light show.
The Light Elf app allows you to centrally control the backlight and automatically turn it off at night. You can customize the light effects for notifications and calls, choosing patterns and the speed of their change. The smartphone offers six preset backlight modes: Happy, Sad, Excited, Rhythm, OK and LOVE. They help express emotions through light effects.
Doogee Blade GT Ultra is interesting not only for its unusual design, but also for its advanced technical characteristics. The smartphone has a 6.72-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The main camera is a 100-megapixel module with an artificial intelligence system and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The device is based on an eight-core 4-nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.6 GHz. It is supplemented by 16 GB of RAM, which can be expanded using a swap file by another 20 GB – this is especially useful when working with resource-intensive applications. 512 GB of built-in flash memory is provided for data storage, and if necessary, it can be expanded using a microSD card up to 2 TB. The smartphone runs Android 14.
The battery capacity of 5500 mAh with support for fast charging 33 W is responsible for autonomy. Blade GT Ultra supports two nano-SIM or one SIM card and a memory card, as well as 5G and Wi-Fi 6. The dimensions of the device are 178.5 × 83.5 × 10.5 mm. The case complies with IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H protection standards, which makes it resistant to water (including hot), drops and impacts. At the same time, the smartphone remains relatively thin for rugged devices – only 10.5 mm.
Doogee has already started accepting orders for the Blade GT Ultra in white and black versions, priced at $339.99.
