Domestic social network Rossgram quietly closed, but then came back to life

The social network Rossgram, created as a domestic alternative to Instagram✴, has effectively ceased to exist. The site is disabled due to hosting debts, the application is not updated, and the project team has gone into the shadows without making an official statement about the closure.

As Habr writes, the site was disabled for non-payment of hosting on the Tilda platform, and the mobile application disappeared from the Rustore store. When trying to access the site, users only see a message asking to renew the site builder services. Hosting has not been paid since the beginning of 2025 and, accordingly, the social network has been unavailable since that moment. The Android application has also not been updated since last year.

At the same time, Rossgram continues to look for private investors. At the same time, to discuss cooperation, it is suggested to contact Kirill Filimonov, one of the creators of the social network, by email, which, according to journalists from Vc.ru, does not seem very reputable.

One of the reasons for what is happening is said to be the company’s falling income. Thus, according to data for 2024, the profit of IT History LLC, the main legal entity of Rossgram, amounted to only 12 thousand rubles with revenue of 965 thousand. For example, revenue in 2022 was measured in tens of millions of rubles.

The company’s activities could also be affected by legal proceedings. In particular, in the fall of 2024, entrepreneur Yuri Groshev filed two lawsuits against Rossgram. In one of them, he demanded 4 million rubles from Kirill Filimonov for “unjust enrichment”, but the case was not accepted for consideration due to the plaintiff’s failure to pay the state fee. The second lawsuit was accepted and remains in proceedings, but the amount of the claims has not been made public.

After critical publications began to appear in the media, the project made itself known for a short time. As Vc.ru reports, the entrepreneurs finally found a thousand rubles and paid for hosting, which allowed them to temporarily restore at least the main page of the social network.
