The Osmo Action 5 Pro features dual OLED displays with smaller bezels on the front and back, which the manufacturer claims delivers “richer, more vibrant” colors. The camera comes with 47GB of fast onboard memory, allowing you to use it right out of the box, and also has a microSD card slot. Osmo Action 5 Pro supports DJI Mic 2 Bluetooth paired microphones, which are especially useful when recording audio interviews.
Osmo Action 5 Pro shoots up to 4K video at up to 120fps in 4:3 format, has built-in 360-degree horizon lock, and a new feature that can center and track a person or object when shooting video. The camera is equipped with a professional-grade atmospheric/water pressure sensor.
The camera is equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 wireless interface and a USB Type-C wired connection. There is no built-in GPS receiver, location data can be added by pairing with devices such as the DJI Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller. The manufacturer guarantees that the camera is waterproof to a depth of 20 meters.
The built-in 1950 mAh battery provides four hours of continuous video recording at 1080p resolution at 24 fps at 25 ° C, with Rocksteady stabilization enabled, Wi-Fi disabled and the front and rear displays turned off. DJI says the Osmo Action 5 Pro can operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 45°C, although runtime in cold temperatures drops to 3.6 hours.
Osmo Action 5 Pro is already on sale for $349. The standard kit includes a protective frame, battery, USB Type-C cable and a number of accessories for mounting and cleaning the action camera.
