The Chinese startup Deepseek, which developed a budget II model, has become a real sensation in the world of technology. In just 20 days after its launch, the application attracted 20 million active users. According to TrendForce, Deepseek took second place among the most popular applications in the world, losing only to Chatgpt. In the third place was the BYTEDANCE DUBAO neural network.

The DeepSeek application launched on January 11, by January 31, reached 22.15 million active users per day. This is 41.6% of the ChatGPT audience, which in the same period totaled 53.23 million daily users. Earlier, the leader of the Chinese market was Dubao with 17 million users, but Deepseek managed to get around it in popularity.

The success of Deepseek is also traced in the Apple App Store ratings, where the application has risen in first place in 157 countries, including the United States. In addition, according to the Similarweb service, the Deepseek website by Google Gemini attended in just a week. So, at the time of January 31, DeepSeek visited 2.4 million users from the USA, while for Gemini this figure was 1.5 million.

Note that the rapid popularity of Deepseek has led to an active reaction from large Chinese companies. Tencent, Baidu and Alibaba have already announced plans to integrate the deepseek model into their cloud platforms. In addition, four leading GPU manufacturers from China, such as Huawei Asceend, Moore Threads, Iluvatar and Metax, expressed their readiness to maintain the development of startup.
