CUDIMM and CSODIMM memory modules differ from conventional DIMM and SO-DIMM modules, respectively, by the presence of a built-in clock generator (Clock Driver, CKD), which increases the overall stability of the memory modules and allows them to operate stably at higher frequencies. Some manufacturers have already announced the release of DDR5 CUDIMM memory modules with speeds in excess of 9000 MT/s. Crucial is not yet striving for such speeds and wants to start small. The manufacturer’s first CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs will run at 6400 MT/s with latencies of CL52-52-52-103.

According to Crucial, its first CUDIMM memory modules have already been verified to be compatible with the latest Intel Core Ultra 200S processors. The company notes that it has completed testing of CUDIMM memory kits with a total capacity of 64 GB (2×32 GB). However, the manufacturer will first release dual-channel DDR5-6400 kits with a total capacity of 32 GB (2×16 GB), as well as individual DDR5-6400 modules with a capacity of 16 GB.

Crucial DDR5 CUDIMM and CSODIMM 64 GB memory kits will be available in distribution channels in the first half of calendar 2025.

The manufacturer has already announced prices for 16 GB DDR5 CUDIMM memory modules. A single module is priced at $84.99, and a set of two is priced at $169.99.
