Corsair continues to expand the MP700 series of PCIe 5.0 drives. The manufacturer’s range already includes SSD models MP700 Pro, MP700 Pro SE and MP700 Pro Hydro. Today the company introduced the MP700 Elite model. Despite the name, the new product differs from previously released models in less high performance and a more affordable price tag.

The Corsair MP700 Elite uses 218-layer Kioxia BiCS8 3D TLC NAND flash memory combined with a Phison E31T controller. The new product is offered in 1 and 2 TB versions. For both, sequential read and write speeds of up to 10,000 and 8,500 MB/s are claimed, as well as random read and write performance of up to 1.3 and 1.4 million IOPS, respectively.
For the younger model, a rewriting resource of 600 TBW (terabyte of overwritten information) is declared, for the 2 TB version – twice as much. The drives come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
SSDs will be produced both with and without radiators. The cost of versions with radiators is not reported. The 1 TB SSD option without a heatsink is priced at $144.99, and the 2 TB version is priced at $254.99. They are already available for purchase through the official Corsair website.
