Microsoft has made new AI features available on Copilot+PC devices with Intel and AMD processors. One of the most notable promises to be Live Captions — real-time translation of audio from dozens of different languages into English and output of subtitles.

Live Captions testing on new-generation computers with Intel and AMD chips began in December last year; the feature became generally available with the release of the latest Windows 11 update. The update also includes the Cocreator feature, an AI tool in Paint that generates images based on text descriptions or simple sketches.
Access to the image editor and generator (Restyle Image and Image Creator) in the Photos app has been expanded. Previously, these features only worked on Copilot+PC computers with Qualcomm chips.
Last year, Microsoft began testing an AI feature called Recall on PCs with next-generation Intel and AMD processors that regularly saves screenshots to your computer and searches through them; there is no timeline for its general availability.
For Qualcomm-powered PCs, the Voice Access feature of the accessibility suite, which lets you control your PC with voice commands, has been updated to understand “more descriptive and flexible language.” The ability to translate from 27 languages into Simplified Chinese has been added. Both features will be coming to Intel and AMD-powered devices in the future.
