Circular unveiled its next-generation smart ring, Ring 2, at CES 2025, which helps you monitor your heart health with FDA-approved electrocardiogram (ECG) functionality for active detection of atrial fibrillation. The new product is expected to go on sale in February or March at a price of $380.

The Circular Ring 2 is a significant departure from the previous Circular Ring Slim in design, size and functionality. The new device is focused on monitoring heart health.
The Circular Ring 2 weighs about 5g, which is significantly heavier than the Ring Slim (2g). The increase in weight is explained by a larger battery and a larger sensor, which provides ECG and detection of atrial fibrillation. If previous models of Circular smart rings could work autonomously for only 2 days in “productive mode” or 4 days in “economy mode,” then Ring 2 can operate up to 8 days in “economy mode” or up to 4 days in “productive mode.”
To accommodate a large ECG sensor, the developers removed the proprietary vibration motor, which was previously used for notifications, alarms and relaxation recommendations. However, the company has promised to bring back the haptic feedback feature in the future.
Circular CEO Amaury Kosman told Android Central that in the future, Ring 2 will be able to detect not only atrial fibrillation, but also other types of arrhythmias. The device will also receive additional functions after a software update in 2025.
«With Circular Ring 2, we’ve reimagined what a smart ring can be, combining cutting-edge healthcare technology with timeless design and unrivaled durability,” Cosman said in a press release.
The Circular Ring 2 is said to feature advanced sensors to track key health indicators, including sleep quality analysis. The company has redesigned the companion application, making its interface more intuitive.
Circular Ring 2 will be available in four colors: gold, silver, black and rose gold. Circular has also introduced a digital ring sizing feature that can be used via smartphone before placing an order. The device will go on sale in a number of countries, including the US, UK and France.
