As the South China Morning Post explains with reference to the report of the Canadian company Techinsights, which specializes in “exposing” Chinese chips, as part of the solid -state drive Zhitai Tipro9000, its specialists managed to detect new 3D NAND microcircuits using a two -tier layout of the layers. The first tier contains 150 shutters, the second 144 shutter, which ultimately ensures the presence of 294 shutters. At the same time, two silicon plates are fed to provide such a layout.

Earlier, YMTC could place no more than 180 shutters on one tier, the new approach increases their number by 114 pieces. Moreover, such memory microcircuits allow you to ensure the density of storage of information more than 20 GBT per square millimeter, which no other memory of the existing people can offer. If earlier the limit for YMTC was the production of 160-layer 3D nand memory chips, now the number of layers increases to 270 pieces. Xtacking 4.0 layout technology allowed the company to achieve progress in memory characteristics in conditions of restrictions on the part of Western equipment suppliers.
