Last week, MWC 2025 was held in Barcelona, where Blackview presented a number of its new products. The manufacturer demonstrated both its usual rugged smartphones and tablets, as well as a laptop.
The APEX 2 rugged smartphone stands out with its powerful hardware platform, advanced specifications, and a very capacious battery. The device has a large 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A screen with such a high resolution is a real rarity for a rugged smartphone.
The Blackview APEX 2 is based on a 4-nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with eight cores and a frequency of up to 3.35 GHz. It is complemented by 12 or 16 GB of RAM with the ability to expand to 24 and 32 GB, respectively. For data storage, a flash drive with a capacity of 256 GB is provided for the younger version and 1 TB for the older one.
The battery capacity is an impressive 20,000 mAh, and, importantly, it supports fast charging with a power of 120 W. Due to the high battery capacity, the dimensions of the smartphone are impressive – 186 × 87.8 × 29 mm. The device is completely protected from dust and moisture, it is not afraid of falls, impacts, vibrations and other effects of an aggressive environment. On the back panel of the smartphone is the main 50 MP camera with f / 1.88 optics, as well as an additional wide-angle 20 MP camera. The front camera has a resolution of 50 MP. Blackview APEX 2 runs on Android 15.
In addition to the standard version, Blackview will also release the APEX 2 Satellite with satellite communication support. And the APEX 2 Projector version will offer a built-in DLP projector.
The Blackview APEX 1 smartphone also has a 20,000 mAh battery, but with a slower 55W charging. It has a 6.78-inch screen with a resolution of 2460 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is also an additional display on the back panel – 2.01 inches with a resolution of 296 × 240 pixels.
The APEX 1 is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor with a frequency of up to 2.6 GHz. Depending on the version, the smartphone is equipped with 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as 256 or 512 GB of permanent memory. The main camera includes a 64-megapixel module and a 20-megapixel night vision camera with infrared illumination. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The dimensions of the APEX 1 are slightly smaller than those of its older brother – 184 × 83 × 29.5 mm. The new product also runs on Android 15.
Blackview will also release an APEX 1 Pro version, which features a FLIR thermal imaging camera and a super-bright flashlight, while the APEX 1 Walkie Talkie model will offer a walkie-talkie function with a range of up to 22 km.
In addition, Blackview introduced the rugged Active 12 Pro tablet, which, like the above-described smartphones, is not afraid of water and dust (IP69), as well as falls and impacts (MIL-STD-810H). This new product is equipped with an impressive battery capacity of 30,000 mAh, and with support for fast charging with a power of 120 W. The dimensions of the tablet are 267.6 × 179 × 28.3 mm. For convenience, the design includes a metal stand, which can also be used as a carrying handle.
One of the key features of the Active 12 Pro is the built-in high-brightness DLP projector. This makes the tablet a great companion for hiking and outdoor activities. The back panel also features two super-powerful camping lights that can illuminate a large area.
Blackview Active 12 Pro features an 11-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution (1920 × 1200 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The rear camera has a resolution of 108 MP and optics with an aperture of f / 1.9. The front camera uses a 50 MP sensor and a lens with an aperture of f / 2.25.
The tablet is based on the single-chip platform MediaTek Dimensity 7300 with a frequency of up to 2.5 GHz. The amount of RAM is an impressive 16 GB with the ability to expand to 32 GB due to the swap file. A 1 TB drive is provided for data storage.
But Blackview MEGA 8 is a classic tablet for work and entertainment. It stands out with a large 13-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The tablet is equipped with a fairly capacious battery – 11,000 mAh with 18-W charging. Its dimensions are 302 × 197.5 × 7.85 mm.
MEGA 8 is based on the eight-core Unisoc T620 chip, supplemented by 12 GB of RAM (with the possibility of virtual expansion up to 24 GB), as well as 256 or 512 GB of flash memory. On the back panel there is a dual camera with a 50-megapixel main module. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels. The device runs on Android 15.
Finally, Blackview has unveiled the AceBook 12, a notebook with an elegant aluminum body and a 16-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels.
The new product is based on Intel processors: options are offered with Core i5-1030NG7 (frequency up to 3.5 GHz) and a more powerful Core i5-12450H (frequency up to 4.4 GHz). The laptop has 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 or 11 serves as the software platform, depending on the modification.
The AceBook 12 has a 57 Wh battery, a backlit keyboard, a large touchpad, and a fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of the laptop are 360.7 × 243.6 × 19.1 mm, and its weight is 1.6 kg.
