Biwin Unveils ‘World’s First’ DDR5 Dual Overclocking Profile AMD EXPO

Biwin has introduced OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 RGB DDR5 — the world’s first DDR5 RAM modules with support for two AMD EXPO overclocking profiles. The new products were developed in collaboration with OC Lab experts.

The OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 RGB DDR5 memory modules come in dual-channel kits with a total capacity of 32 GB (2 x 16 GB). The first AMD EXPO overclocking profile is DDR5-8000 CL34/CL36, and the second is DDR5-6400 CL28. This allows users to choose between higher frequencies or lower latencies.

The company claims that the new RAM modules support additional manual overclocking up to 8400 MT/s while maintaining low CAS timings at CL34. This is possible when using motherboards from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock. Biwin provided screenshots from the Memtest program demonstrating the operation of the new RAM modules on motherboards with AMD X870, B850 and B840 chipsets in combination with Ryzen 9000 series processors.

The manufacturer notes that the memory modules can operate at CL28 timings. However, additional manual optimization can reduce the delays to CL26. The company also adds that the new products were tested at operating voltages of 1.45 and 1.50 V, while their average operating temperature was less than 50 degrees Celsius.

Biwin OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 RGB DDR5 memory modules are expected to go on sale at the end of March. Their price will start from $169.
