Bigscreen has unveiled the Beyond 2 wired virtual reality headset with a 116-degree field of view, which the manufacturer says is wider than the Meta✴ Quest 3 and Valve Index. Weighing just 107 grams, the new product features micro-OLED displays with a resolution of 5120 × 2560 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, which provide “edge-to-edge clarity.”

The manufacturer claims that Bigscreen Beyond 2 is compatible with SteamVR base stations. Compared to its predecessor, the new headset has improved optics, providing increased brightness and no glare. The position of each lens is adjusted separately, allowing you to individually adjust the headset to the distance between the pupils.
The Bigscreen Beyond 2 is priced at $1,019 in its base configuration. The company also offers the Beyond 2e headset for $1,219, which features built-in “incredibly small, grain-of-sand camera sensors” for eye tracking.
Bigscreen recommends using an iPhone XR or newer to create a 3D scan of your face before ordering the headset, which will allow the company to create a custom shape for the headset.
Alternatively, Bigscreen Beyond 2 can be ordered with a universal Halo mount.
The Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e virtual reality headsets are now available to order in black, orange and clear case options.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2025.
