BenQ Unveils Professional 5K PD2730S and 4K PD3226G Monitors for PC and Mac with High Color Accuracy

BenQ has introduced two professional monitors designed primarily for working with graphics – the 27-inch PD2730S and the 31.5-inch PD3226G. The first model supports 5K resolution (5120 × 2880 pixels), the second – 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels).

The manufacturer notes that the BenQ 5K PD2730S model is aimed at designers and content creators using the Mac or Windows platforms. On the other hand, the BenQ 4K PD3226G features a high refresh rate of 144Hz, which is ideal for designers, illustrators, game developers and content creators, especially those involved in 3D graphics.

The 5K PD2730S is powered by an IPS panel with 400 cd/m2 brightness, 60 Hz refresh rate, 2000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10 support, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The display is factory calibrated with Delta E ≤2 color accuracy. It claims 100% coverage of the sRGB and Rec.709 color spaces, as well as 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

The BenQ 5K PD2730S monitor includes a KVM switch, one HDMI 2.1 port, DisplayPort 1.4, Thunderbolt 4 (with PowerDelivery 90 W, data transfer and DisplayPort alternate mode) and Thunderbolt 4 (with PowerDelivery 15 W). There is also a USB hub with one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C upstream (10 Gbps), two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A downstream (5 Gbps, 4.5 W charging), and one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type downstream -A (5 Gbps, 7.5 W charging), USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps, 7.5 W charging) and USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (10 Gbps, 7.5 W charging) W).

The BenQ 4K PD3226G monitor claims a response speed of 1 ms, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a brightness of 400 cd/m2, support for AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology, 100% coverage of the sRGB and Rec.709 color spaces, as well as 95% coverage of the color space DCI-P3 and color accuracy at Delta E ≤2. It also includes support for HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. In terms of equipment, the new product completely copies the BenQ 5K PD2730S model.

Both monitors offer support for multiple operating modes, including two custom settings profiles, DCI-P3, Display P3, Rec.709, sRGB, HDR, M-Book, DICOM, CAD/CAM, Animation and Darkroom, as well as multiple color temperature modes ( 5000K, 6500K, 9300K, custom).
