Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-AWSW DV audiophile headphones in the style of the Star Wars universe. The novelty is in the wooden cups decorated with images of Darth Vader. The drawings on the cups are made using the traditional Japanese maki-e technique.

The ATH-AWSW DV headphones feature 53mm drivers. They operate in the frequency range of 5–45,000 Hz, have a sensitivity of 102 dB/mW, an impedance of 48 Ohms, and can deliver up to 2000 mW of output power.
The headphones weigh 415 grams. The package includes a wooden storage case and an aluminum stand. Two cables are provided for connection to the sound source: a three-meter cable with a gold-plated 6.3 mm connector and a 1.2-meter cable with a 3.5 mm connector.
