Asus Unveils World’s First 610Hz Gaming Monitor — ROG XG248Q5G-P for $1,100

Asus has introduced two gaming monitors — ROG XG248Q5G-P and ROG XG32UCG. The first is positioned as a solution for eSports and supports a very high refresh rate — up to 610 Hz. The second offers support for two operating modes: 4K at 120 Hz and Full HD at 320 Hz.

The ultra-fast ROG XG248Q5G-P is based on a 24.1-inch Super TN matrix. Three refresh rate modes are declared for it: 240 Hz, 480 Hz, and 610 Hz in Overdrive mode. The monitor supports a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and has a response time of 0.1 ms. Also declared is 90 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync technology, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

An additional interesting feature of the ROG XG248Q5G-P is the included stand, which is a maximally ergonomic bracket. The monitor is equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. There is also a 3.5 mm audio output. In China, the monitor is priced at 7999 yuan ($1100), its shipments will begin next month.

The Asus ROG XG32UCG monitor is based on a 31.5-inch IPS matrix. This panel supports 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 160 Hz, as well as Full HD with a frequency of 320 Hz. The display response time is declared at 0.3 ms. 95 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync technology and support for AMD FreeSync Premium are indicated.

The monitor comes with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio ports. It also has an ergonomic stand. The ROG XG32UCG will go on sale in China next month. Its recommended price is 3,999 yuan ($550).
